2025 UTES Workshop in Vienna

GEOTHERMICA Initiative, IEA Geothermal, and Geothermal IWG co-organized a workshop focusing on Undergound Thermal Energy Storage (UTES) policies and strategies in European member states.

Participants from Iceland, Austria, Germany, Poland, the Netherlands, Norway, Finland, Switzerland and Belgium attended the workshop.

Representatives of public authorities discussed and compared UTES policies in their respective countries, while representatives from BNGBank, Ruden, Qheat, and WienEnergy introduced successful UTES projects and business cases to the audience.
