Underground Thermal Energy Storage Symposium - 2025
IEA Geothermal, Geothermica and the Geothermal Implementation Working Group are pleased to announce that a UTES Symposium will be held in Zurich, Switzerland immediately ahead of the 2025 European Geothermal Congress (EGC). Venue is the Zurich Convention Center (Kongresshaus Zürich), Gotthardstrasse 5, 8002 Zürich with a start time of 1pm on the 6th October 2025. Event is in person only.

2025 Mine Water Geothermal Energy Symposium
May 7th 1pm – 5pm and May 8th 9am – 1pm UK (BST) time
The symposium, returning after previous successful years, will be held over two days, a half day on each, and is free of charge.
There is a focus on case studies of mine water heating, cooling and storage schemes worldwide (exploration drilling, testing, operations).

Deep Geothermal Workshop
This 10th April 2025 Deep Geothermal Workshop is a collaborative event being organised by IEA Geothermal and AFPG. The workshop is being held in Paris and will focus on the use of deep geothermal energy for heating and cooling. There will be a particular focus on the utilisation of geothermal energy in cities and districts. The presentations will be in English.
